NYC-based Rockstar Games promises “Grand Theft Auto 5” will be an enhanced experience when it launches for the PC this fall. Last week, the developer announced it was bringing the action-adventure game to the PC, Xbox One and PS4 this year. “'Grand Theft Auto V’ will take full advantage of the power of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with across-the-board graphical and technical improvements to deliver a stunning new level of detail,” the developer said on the Rockstar Newsire last Tuesday. “Increased draw distances, finer texture details, denser traffic, and enhanced resolutions all work together to bring new life to the cities, towns, deserts and oceans of Rockstar North’s epic reimagining of Southern California.” Demand for the title to come to the PC, Xbox One and PS4 has been high, andcountless rumors have hinted at a current-gen and PC release date since the game’s launch for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 last fall. Rockstar promised fans “GTA 5” on current-generation consoles and the PC will be even better than the previous version of the game, including its online mode. “The new generation upgrades also extend to ‘Grand Theft Auto Online,’ an ever-evolving ‘Grand Theft Auto’ universe. Rise through the criminal ranks by banding together to complete Jobs for cash, purchase properties, vehicles and character upgrades, compete in traditional competitive modes, or create your own content to play and share with the’ Grand Theft Auto’ community,” the developer said. In its Steam listing, Rockstar assured fans the PC version” will take full advantage of the power of PC to deliver across-the-board enhancements including increased resolution and graphical detail, denser traffic, greater draw distances, upgraded AI, new wildlife, and advanced weather and damage effects for the ultimate open world experience.” The PC version will also feature a video editor created for advanced movie making, as well as new Jobs, a collection of new weapons, properties, vehicles and character upgrades.
